Strong Wind South East Queensland

A trough has brought powerful wind across South East Queensland. 

Consider all site housekeeping and remove loose waste and material from roofs, scaffold, balconies and open areas (hardstands / laydown) and ensure site fences are well supported with the minimum bracing (every second panel for scrim & every panel for hoarded).

, kicked up by a strong trough that moved through western on Friday, has made it all the way to on Saturday morning. is looking murky at the moment but it should gradually improve through the weekend.

NCC Alignment with Disability Standards

The Australian Building Codes Board has updated the National Construction Code (NCC) to match changes in the Disability Standards. 

These updates started on 29 July 2025. The old standard (AS 1428.1:2009) is now replaced with AS 1428.1:2021.
